Recognizing its beautiful psychedelic pattern and distinctive shine, Marine Serre was one of the first designers to use its modern nylon format for a fashion collection, using it to create several dresses since her debut. Since then, Recycled Moire has become one of the most iconic materials of the House, being ever present in every collection.

Iconic All Over Moon motif adorns this blended FSC-approved viscose and wool yarn jacquard knit. The shapes present in this family run in parallel to those in the wider Moon Logo range and serve to accentuate the collection’s idea of translation and metamorphosis, almost as if our iconic Recycled Moon Jersey magically transformed into knitwear. The line has a strong sportswear dynamic with the addition of thumbholes in some of the pieces. This wool blend jacquard knit is slightly warmer and thicker than the Moon Logo Knit, however, but also so incredibly soft that it can also be worn directly on the skin.

All the cotton Marine Serre sources for Borderline is GOTS-certified — this world-leading textile processing standard chiming with the house’s own well-known commitment to protecting the planet. In terms of the silhouettes across these ranges, we wanted to offer a wide range of everyday styles that are directly inspired by the world of sportswear. Our Moon Logo Jersey lines come in a range of traditional colours (white, black and grey, but in most cases lilac too) spun out across t-shirts, tanks and dresses, as well as underwear. These garments are finished in the classic way familiar from sportwear garments, with our Moon Logo in raised embroidery just below the neckline. Some of the Recycled Cotton Jerseys (lilac and grey) feature our MS Sport logo — a print moon with Marine Serre embroidered above, and we have also expanded our palette with seasonal colours such as red and blue, bearing a Gradient All Over Moon print.

This extraordinary fabric is part of the core materials of the House. The forgotten techniques of the  upcycled embroidered household linen are saved from oblivion and regenerated into unique, transcending garments evoking soft, delicate and sensual imagery. All these one-of-a-kind pieces are filled with history through their embroideries, all smoothly placed to highlight the beauty of this rare fabric. The white tones of the pillowcases are also dyed in black to play with the ceremonial references.

The Moonogram motif is flocked with soft velvet on our recycled mesh jersey, creating an incredibly comfortable fabric. The mesh’s transparency calls back to Marine Serre’s transgressive vision by having a material traditionally used solely for lingerie reimagined as day-to-day wear
